  Crazy Disclaimers

So I have a bladder infection and cannot get to the doctor until tomorrow. I haven't had one in years and forgot how fast the pain progresses....stupid me.

So I go to the store to grab some urinary pain pills. The pills contain dye that stains. You put them in your mouth, you swallow them, drink a glass of water and awhile later piss out the dye.

And the back of the box says....

Warning, this product has a reddish orange dye that will stain. It will stain soft contact lenses.

LOL It is a "what the fuck" kind of thing

BUT

The dye actually stains your tears, your spit, your pee, etc. It affects all bodily fluids. The warnings refer to your tears staining the contact lenses.

Very interesting....I looked more into this....
Almost all the warnings I read online warn against handling your contact lenses after handling the pills. Which is kind of common sense to me. Although the actually drug company warns about the possibility of the tear thing, I don't think most people would assoicate a pill that turns your pee orange with turning tears orange. Kinda seems like that would be an important part of the wording on the package!?

Because despite my 3.96 college GPA, and endless years in healthcare.....I wouldn't have known to take my contacts out....but I have had alot of fun turning the water in the toilet different colors....

I'm one of those people that likes to live on the wild side when it comes to wearing their contacts. I know, it's stupid... but I leave them in too long, wear them when I dye my hair, never take them out when I take AZO or anything like that. LOL

I've been tormented with severe chronic UTI's since about 13. I haven't had any funny colored contacts (or tears) yet! Would be interesting though!
