So the first day i brought our baby beardie to school i was struck with seperation anxiety before I left... i felt so bad leaving him at the school so i decided to bring him home everyday that I bring him to school. Though Im not sure he totally enjoys the 45 min car rides there and back, i still find myself doing this with him atleast 2-3 times a week.
I usually take him out of the cage while I am driving and put him on my shoulder.... if its dark he immediately passes out and if its sunny he just basks in the sun and watches me sing to him.
One morning I took the top of his cage off because he made a nasty dukie in it
(to air it out) and he jumped right out of the cage and started running to the back of the car. I was driving on the Sawgrass trying to catch him and i finally pulled over and gave him a good long lecture. LOL. He was so small at the time i thought he would crawl under something make it to the warmth of the engine and i would never find him again. I am such a worrywort.
Anyways, thats the update. If you want to see him live .... greg set up another site just for him... any of the links above in the main thread will send you there. We are trying to make a site that will be helpful for owners of beardies or to-be-owners of beardies. It was so hard for us to find information that wasnt conflicting with another sites that we decided to make our own. It originally started with the Live WebCam so my students could see him at all times even on the days i didnt bring him in to school but ofcourse Greg ran with it and grown to this and Im sure it will grown to much more. So if you wanna see the recordings or live feed of him just hit up the Media page. He is such a cutie.
little man is going to be "fat ass". He has gone from eating 6 crickets a day to as many as you give him... so far that amount has been ~30
My little kitty would so eat it. She hunts for bugs in the house, toys with them and then swallows 'em. She may only be 5 months old and barely 6 pounds, but think I have a little hunter on my hands.
Hope your little lizzy stays safe!
So far so good with little dude.... Kitty hasnt gotten a hold of him.... but im still really scared. I read on a beardie forum that this one guy had his three cats break into his berdies cage.... when he came home he found pieces of the little guy all over the place.... OMG
kitty used to roll around on dead lizards to get the 'dead' scent on her and play with snakes lol... she is a hunter, be careful.. Hows she doing lately with lil dude?
Actually KITTY has tried to pounce... it was a bit scary.... MOOMOO is just interested in the crickets.... and SARAH can care less.
